Why are you excited to be at MITY?

The people at MITY are passionate about working together to design and build great quality products. It is an honor to join the MITY family and I’m proud to be able to lead and contribute to the company’s success.

You’ll be moving to Utah, where the MITY Corporate Offices are located. Have you been there before now?

In my previous jobs I had the opportunity to travel to Utah many times and I have spent quite a bit of time in Salt Lake City. I love the natural beauty of the state and the friendly nature of the people I have met there over the years. My wife Denise and I are excited about the opportunity to live in the Orem area and we look forward to hiking and biking in the mountains this summer and skiing in the winter.

MITY serves customers in several industries. Is there one industry that you’re excited to dive into?

I am excited about all the industries that MITY serves. We make terrific products that provide value and service to our customers across so many industries. At MITY we can really make a difference for our customers and the people they serve. That is something to be excited about!

So far, what are your favorite things about the MITY team?

In addition to spending time in the MITY Corporate Offices and manufacturing plants in Orem, I have visited our Holsag plant in Lindsay, Ontario, our Bertolini plant in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and our BRODA office in St. Louis, Missouri. Despite the far-flung locations, I learned that these teams all share a sense of ownership and pride in our business and they are totally committed to serving our customers. I found a spirit of community and teamwork that is truly special and really defines what the MITY family is all about.

How do you plan to make our customer’s lives and jobs easier?

At MITY we want our customers to view us as the preferred supplier, as a partner who is easy to do business with and who provides category-leading products that deliver innovation, style, and value. I am committed to being a good listener, and we will work harder than any other company to understand our customers and earn their support and business.

How do you show support for the communities in which you live?

I volunteer! While in Atlanta, I served as Board Vice Chair for the Atlanta based nonprofit Our House (ourhousega.org). Our House provides shelter, food, childcare, and vocational training for families experiencing homelessness in the Atlanta area. I am also a member of the Advisory Panel for the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation (atlfrf.org) which provides strategic support and financial assistance to the City of Atlanta’s Fire Rescue Department. And I’m a council member for the League of Change Genie Project (leagueofchange.org) which provides financial and intellectual resources to help socially conscious startups succeed.
