Milestones That Made Us
1987
Gregory Wilson founds MityLite
Gregory Wilson develops an innovative folding table that is lighter than competitors but extremely durable. Wilson launches MityLite that same year.
1994
MityLite goes public
After banding together with angel investors, Greg Wilson officially incorporates the MityLite name and expands operations. In November of 1994, MityLite goes public on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
1998
Mity acquires Broda Seating
Inspired by their mission and unique product offering, MityLite acquires Broda in 1998. Regarding the business deal, the company comments, “What attracted us to Broda is that they are a niche player. Their chairs are different than others out there.”
2000
MITY Inc holding group is organized
After years of steady growth, innovation, and proven success, shareholders vote to organize a holding company. As a result, MITY Inc is formed to become the parent company of MityLite and Broda.
2013
Prospect Capital expands portfolio with MITY Inc
In 2013, Prospect Capital recapitalizes and secures majority interest in MITY. In turn, MITY Inc is represented in the stock market under Prospect’s PSAC symbol.
2017
Holsag and Bertolini join MITY Inc
Experiencing a great season of growth, MITY Inc acquires Bertolini and Holsag. Now part of the MITY Inc brand, Bertolini continues to manufacture innovative church chairs under the brand Bertolini. Holsag Canada continues to craft durable hardwood seating for the restaurant, senior living, and healthcare industries.
