Community Donations

Through its family of brands, MITY Inc has donated furniture, wheelchairs, manufacturing supplies, and more to a variety of community organizations including schools, rehab centers, and local non-profits.

RedCross Blood Drive

The MITY Inc offices in Utah coordinate with local representatives from the Red Cross to host semi-annual blood drives. December is a record-low month for donations and MITY Inc aims to mitigate that.

Annual Safety Fair

From the manufacturing floor to the boardroom, we want every employee to return home safely. MITY Inc hosts an annual safety fair to follow-up on best practices and introduce new initiatives.

Holiday Toy Drive

The employees at our Kitchner, Ontario facility have selflessly coordinated to gather and donate toys to their local Salvation Army. These toys are distributed to families in need throughout the community.

Sourcing Materials

MITY Inc prioritizes sustainability by actively sourcing raw materials with eco-friendly attributes. We use high-recycled content from pre-consumer, post-consumer, and industrial sources, along with sustainably harvested and renewable materials. For example, all our wood furniture is made from wood sourced in FSC certified forests, and our ABS Tabletops are made with 80% recycled content. Additionally, we support local production and suppliers to reduce environmental impact while maintaining high-quality standards.

GREENGUARD Certification

Many MITY Inc products are GREENGUARD Certified. This means that these products have been tested by a third party for chemical emissions and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Certified products have passed strict limits on VOCs and have been verified to promote healthy indoor air quality.
